Will Dogecoin Hit $1?

In 2013, two software engineers, Billy Marcus and Jackson Palmer, created Dogecoin. The viral cryptocurrency was branded after the iconic meme “Doge”, which was a Shiba Inu named Kano-chan (かぼちゃん).

In January 2020, Dogecoin got its first taste of the lime light. In just four months, the crypto managed to reach 71 cents. Doge is now bouncing up and down between 45 cents and 33 cents. So the question is, Will Dogecoin Hit $1?

In the past couple of days, Vitalik Buterinco-creator of Ethereum, said he loves and has suggested collaboration between the meme cryptocurrency and Ethereum for scalability. While on the Lex Fridman Podcast, Buterin mention how “he doesn’t fear Doge”. He even mentioned that Ethereum accepts Doge every year for its Devcon conferences.

“Once Ethereum gets its scalability...” “...you would be able to also trade Doge with extremely low transaction fees and very high speed as well,” said Buterin. The co-creator mentioned that such technology to enable such a cross-chain interaction is still young.

Other factors could possibly help Doge climb up the ranks of crypto. On the 3rd of June, Coinbase listed Dogecoin on their platform. Coinbase is one of the most popular crypto trading platforms in the U.S. alongside exchanges like Crypto.comeToro, and Binance. At the time of writing this, Coinbase was having a contest. The contest consisted of one winner would win $300K in Dogecoin, ten people will win $30K in Dogecoin, and six thousand people would win $100 in Dogecoin. To get entered in, you would need to Opt-in and buy or sell $100 of Dogecoin.

Already we have gone over two possibilities that could help Doge climb. Now for the last and final possibility that I have for this list. Elon Musk has been the news all over social media. It is said that Elon Musk had “DIVORCED” Bitcoin

Lately fans have been calling for Tesla’s to be able to create Dogecoin while charging. Musk has the voice that can make anything happen to Doge. This week alone, he posted a break up meme about him and Bitcoin. Whenever he posts about Doge it seems to benefit the crypto.

Musk has been giving a substantial amount of support to Doge. Musk has been calling for developers to submit ideas for improvements and upgrades and helping Dogecoin break into the cryptocurrency top five by value.

In order for Doge to hit $1, I feel like there has to be more work going into it. Doge is in the top ranks of crypto like it. Now it is starting to get lots of competition surrounding the meme behind it. I can see Doge resting at $1 in the next 2 to 5 years. I believe it will hit $1 sooner than that but I feel like it will be unstable. I do eventually seeing Doge becoming a popular form of payment. It is predicted that printed money will fall and crypto currency will rise and become the regular currency we use. I know that I will be throwing more money into Dogecoin in hopes that I will see my profit double or possibly triple. We will have to see what time gives to us.
